Curriculum vitae

Andrea Cehláriková graduated the Faculty of Law of the Comenius University in Bratislava. Currently she is proceeding her postgraduate (PhD) study, her research area is responsibility of company bodies members and corporate governance (as an external student).

The first experience from legal practice she obtained already during her study in commercial lawyer and Attorney-At-law offices in Bratislava. After graduating the Faculty of Law in 1997 she was practising as a young lawyer in Attorney-at-Law office, later in commercial sphere of large and middle commercial enterprises with Slovak as well as foreign capital investments. During her practise she cooperated and still cooperates with lawyers, legal firms and trademark offices abroad (e.g. Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary,  Italy, Netherlands, Poland, U.S.A.). From January 2003 she is self-employed licensed lawyer specializing in the field of company and contract law, industrial property, civil and commercial laws as well as she is providing the general legal service for entrepreneurs.

Using experience from her legal practise, Dr. Cehláriková has prepared and presented several lectures for the students of law, top- and middle management and other students on topics related to corporate governance and business law. She has accompanied three groups of authors writing two books with the commentary to the Commercial Code of the Slovak Republic and articles concerning the topic of her research. She is the author of another various articles from the topics of business, especially company law, dedicated to entrepreneurs.

She cooperates with Slovak (currently transforming to Middle-European) Institute of Corporate Governance and European Centre for Comparative Commercial and Company Law (www.c-law.org).

Andrea Cehláriková speaks English (very good level + technical terms of law), German (good level + technical terms of law), French and Russian (both at conversation level).
